Starting June 1, 2009, visitors to Canada will be required to present valid passports to border officials upon arrival by land, as well as by air or sea. Passports are mandatory for re-entry to the U.S., so please be sure to have this document when you leave the the country, as you will not be able to return to the U.S. without it. To have a hassle-free entry into Canada, as well as returning to the states, have your passports open and ready for viewing by officials upon arrival at the border.
